TempMailGrab Postman Collection

Postman can import the public TempMailGrab OpenAPI spec directly. Use it to explore endpoints, save authenticated requests, and hand a working disposable email API collection to QA or automation teams.

Import into Postman

  1. Open Postman and choose Import.
  2. Paste this URL: https://tempmailgrab.com/api/openapi.json.
  3. Create an environment variable named TMG_API_KEY.
  4. Set the Authorization header to Bearer {{TMG_API_KEY}}.
  5. Run POST /api/v1/inbox, then use the returned inbox ID in message and webhook requests.

Requests to save first

  • Create inbox: POST /api/v1/inbox
  • List messages: GET /api/v1/inbox/:id/messages
  • Fetch message: GET /api/v1/inbox/:id/messages/:mid
  • Delete inbox: DELETE /api/v1/inbox/:id
  • Register webhook: POST /api/v1/webhooks
  • Register private domain: POST /api/v1/byod

Test an OTP manually

Create an inbox, use its address in your app's signup form, then call the messages endpoint until a message includes extracted_otp. That same value is what Playwright, Cypress, or a CI script should read.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does TempMailGrab have a Postman collection?

Yes. Import https://tempmailgrab.com/api/openapi.json into Postman to generate a collection from the current OpenAPI spec.

How do I authenticate requests in Postman?

Create a TMG_API_KEY environment variable and send Authorization: Bearer {{TMG_API_KEY}} with every API request.

Can Postman test OTP extraction?

Yes. Create an inbox, trigger an email to that address, then call the messages endpoint and inspect the extracted_otp field.
